PG-DAC – Program Summary

This PG – Diploma in Advanced Computing (PG-DAC) is a post graduate course and is the flagship programme of ACTS. The course is targeted towards engineers and IT professionals who wish to venture into the domain of advanced computing. The course aims to groom the students to enable them to work on current technology scenarios as well as prepare them to keep pace with the changing face of technology and the requirements of the growing IT industry. The course curriculum has been designed keeping in view the emerging trends in advanced computing as well as contemporary and futuristic human resource requirements of the ICT industry.

Course Duration

PG-DAC is a 6 months full time course. The complete schedule is published and is available on to students on notice boards and is also available on Infoway Students Portal.

There are classroom sessions as well as Computer Lab Session daily

Admission Process

Admissions to PG Diploma course of C-DAC is done through C-DAC’s Computerized Common Admission Test (C-CAT). Every year, C-CAT is usually conducted in June/July (for August admissions) and December/ January (for February admissions).

The medium of C-CAT is English.

Important Note: A candidate can appear only for the specific section(s) in C-CAT as per the category of the courses opted by him/her at the time of filling the online application form. (For Other Courses refer “acts.cdac.in”)

Every section in C-CAT will have 50 objective-type questions. Each objective-type question will have four choices as possible answers of which only one will be correct. There will be +3 (plus three) marks for each correct answer, -1 (minus one) for each wrong answer, and 0 (zero) marks for each un-attempted question.
